Partnering with Digital Leaders Wales
5 min read Written by: Victoria FordWe’re delighted to announce that we’re now the official partners of Digital Leaders Wales.
Digital Leaders Wales is an independent network for individuals and organisations across Wales who are committed to delivering sustainable and innovative digital transformation. It’s a network for private, public, non-profit and academic sectors and it’s open to everyone.
As partners we want to do what we can to build on the success of previous years and get as many people as possible in Wales, across all sectors, talking about how digital can support better service delivery and improve the lives of people in Wales. This is something we’re passionate about and we can’t wait to see Wales building on the momentum of recent months.
The first event we’re supporting is DigiLeaders week which is running from 14 – 18 June this year.
As partners we’re going to be:
Supporting the coordination of the week
Sunmi Babalola, who has been part of the team since July last year when she joined us for her Year In Industry Placement from Swansea University, will be supporting the Digital Leaders Wales team as the coordinator between Digital Leaders HQ and the Wales team. She’ll be helping make sure everything’s in place for the successful running of the week. As well as providing hands on support for Digital Leaders, this is a great project for Sunmi to get involved in and use some of the skills we’ve seen her develop over the last 9 months. Sunmi will be blogging about the project at the end of the event so watch this space!
Running three sessions
We’re going to be running a number of sessions over the course of the week. We’d love to see you there so click on the links to find out more about the sessions booked in so far and how to sign up.
- Communicating digital
- Digital talent, developing capability in Wales
- Digital wellbeing – using digital sustainably
Supporting other sessions
We’ll be supporting sessions throughout the week including chairing the Annual Lecture, which this year is from Sam Hall, Chief Digital Officer for Local Government in Wales. We’ll be around and about the events throughout the week so keep an eye out for us, we’d love to chat.
What’s next?
DigiLeaders week is just the start. We’ll be partners for the full year and, like we’ve said, we want to use the opportunity to get more people talking and sharing about digital in Wales. If you have any ideas or thoughts around what you would like to see or how we could help then please do get in touch. We hope to see you at DigiLeaders week!
