Delivery Director
An experienced agile delivery manager, Ross brings over 15 years of public sector experience to his work.
He has led a variety of high-profile, public-facing digital projects and programmes, always with a strong focus on user needs. His expertise includes managing agile delivery teams through complex change and stakeholder environments across all stages of development. He has also developed agile approaches to investment cases within Government and worked with Board-level stakeholders to secure funding and necessary approvals.
Ross champions user-centred, agile delivery and works closely with teams to remove barriers, encourage collaboration, and build strong relationships with stakeholders. He has a proven ability to manage project and programme scope effectively while remaining responsive to evolving needs and changing requirements.
His skills extend to defining agile risk management processes and creating strategies for managing risks and dependencies at both the programme and project level. In multi-supplier delivery environments, he supports the definition of managed service contracts and sets up mechanisms to ensure successful delivery of outcomes.
Key achievements
→ Delivery of a Retail Digital Transformation Programme at for a national water company establishing new ways of working and outcome and benefits management and successfully delivering a programme of change that shifted digital interactions from 30% to over 50%, increased digital automation to over 60% and achieved over 90% customer satisfaction in relation to digital services.
→ Facilitated two strategic discovery projects for a UK governement department. The aim of the projects was to support organisational transformation into a user focused, service led department.
→ Established programme structures in terms of governance, reporting and business case alignment for an £85m cross government, common technology programme looking to save £280m across government.
→ Successfully establishing a programme of work to implement a governeemnt’s Vehicle Excise Duty changes with an aim to secure £1.7bn worth of revenue, establishing a ‘continuous delivery’ relationship with the motor manufacturing industry and facilitating a shift from legacy technologies.
→ Digitised two of the 25 GDS exemplar services as part of the Transformation Programme, establishing a £10m programme achieving over 60% take-up of core transaction in less that three months (now over 90%) and enabling over £20m worth of savings for government and its users year on year.
→ Created a network of customer transition managers within a local office network to act as a single source of information to support customers in the transition from face-to-face to centralised services contributing to a programme of work saving over £100m per annum.
→ Successfully supported the Motor Industry in the transition from face-to-face to centralised services. Established a series of Industry Steering Groups to consult and communicate changes. Created an Industry support manual documenting new procedures receiving positive feedback from senior Industry representative groups.
