Perago has appointed Kate Methuen-Ley as its first Chief Operating Officer. She joined the team as a fractional COO in the summer, and her appointment has now been made permanent.
As Perago marks its tenth year, it is working with more clients on bigger, more complex programmes. Kate’s role has been created to lead the operational side of that growth, making sure the quality of Perago’s work keeps pace as the business scales.
Kate has spent the last 8 years working with start-up and scale-up businesses, helping leaders build the strategy, structure, processes and culture they need to grow sustainably. After a 15-year marketing career she founded and ran the Welsh operation for Danish retailer, Flying Tiger Copenhagen, with her business partner growing it to multiple stores across Wales and the Bristol. She is a non-executive director of the Development Bank of Wales, has coached on the Business Wales Accelerated Growth Programme and was a finalist in The NED Awards 2026
Victoria Ford, Managing Director of Perago, said: “Ten years in, we’re busier than we’ve ever been, and I want to make sure our clients get the same quality of work from us as we grow. Kate brings exactly the experience we need to make that happen, and I’m delighted she’s joining us permanently.”
Kate Methuen-Ley said: “What attracted me to Perago is its ambition, its values and the genuine commitment of its people to making a difference for clients. Having worked with the team over the past few months, I’ve seen first-hand what makes the business special and the opportunities ahead.
My focus is therefore to help Perago grow well keeping what makes it special, making it easier for our people to do great work, and building the right foundations to support our ambitions without losing the agility and entrepreneurial spirit that make us who we are.”
