Owen is a senior leader with over 15 years’ experience of service development, project management and change management. He has experience in the commercial, technology and public sectors in the UK and internationally, having created and implemented strategies and new concepts to drive growth and value for users. He has a passion for leading and managing projects and programmes of work that create great services that meet user needs and drive business value.
Owen is an accomplished leader who manages risks, budgets, and stakeholders across multiple complex projects regularly with the ability to multi-task, he has led projects ranging from multi-million-pound initiatives to collaborative, community-based concepts across areas such as environmental sustainability, investment, governance, and inclusion.
Owen has an excellent track record of building and growing relationships with a variety of partners from Fortune 500 companies, start-up’s, local authorities, government departments and national governing bodies of sport.
Key achievements
→ Provided delivery management expertise to a local authority to support delivery of its £65m transformation programme. The programme delivered £20m of auditable savings in the first year of delivery with a roadmap for a further £45m savings over 4 years.
→ Led a website redesign and contact management strategy implementation at a Local Authority which significantly improved user experience and financial savings.
→ Led the creation of a procurement community, website and training and upskilling opportunities for procurement professionals for a national governement body. Worked in partnership with four organisations and over 40 stakeholders to design, build and deliver a new procurement system for a Local Authority.
→ Led multi-disciplinary teams to create road-maps and strategies that have delivered significant tangible value for major public sector organisations in the UK.
